We were incredibly lucky with our first glimpse of Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe. After a long arduous drive, we were not only rewarded with a Savanna Dry and beautiful sunset, but also wild zebra prancing about the fields.
These trees have died, but remain standing long after the land was flooded to create Lake Kariba between 1958 and 1963.
Incredibly, according to Wikipedia, this enormous mass of water (200 billion tons) is believed to have caused over 20 earthquakes of greater than 5...
